Fact Check of the Day: At a hearing for a bill to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act, Senator Al Franken calls out Thomas Minnery of the anti-gay nonprofit Focus on the Family for mischaracterizing a Department of Health and Human Services study as supporting his claim that children a much better off with heterosexual parents.
In fact, the cited study says children benefit from living in nuclear families, irrespective of the parents’ sexual orientation.

So I haven’t seen all the movies, but I will still make some educated guesses and if I can’t do that I will just pick the person or movie that I want to win:
Best Cinematography - Inception
Best Makeup - The Wolfman
Best Visual Effects - I want to say HP7 but I’m pretty sure its between Inception and Alice in Wonderland
Best Original Score - Again I want it to be How to Train Your Dragon (cutest movie ever!) But I’m pretty sure Inception will nab this one again.
Best Original Song - Either Toy Story 3 or Country Strong
Best Costume Design - Alice in Wonderland
Best Art Design - I want HP7 again but I’m pretty sure it will be Inception or Alice in Wonderland (more Alice than Inception but Nolan is sneaky)
Best Adapted Screen Play - (shot in the dark) Social Network
Best Original Screen Play - The Kids Are All Right or Inception (Probably Inception)
Best Animated Feature Film - Toy Story 3, but I want How to Train Your Dragon (really you should see it.)
Best Supporting Actress - (Haven’t seen any of these) Helena Bonham Carter
Best Supporting Actor - Mark Ruffalo or Christian Bale
Best Actress - Natalie Portman is the favorite but I think it could also be Annette Benning
Best Actor - Colin Firth (it was taken from him last year here is chance two)
Best Director - Darren Aronofsky
Best Picture - Social Network
Gaga’s 2010 Grammy Performance….EPIC!
Thank you Coral RA’s for giving me this song again! haha
